Aftercare

There is no downtime after PRX-T33®, so there is very little to manage afterwards.

  • You can go straight back to your normal day. The skin does not peel.
  • Use sun protection as you normally would for your skin type and the weather. The treatment itself is not photosensitising.
  • Follow the home care your therapist recommends between sessions.
  • Call the clinic on 21 890 009 if you have any questions between appointments.

FAQ

Is this microneedling?
No. Nothing pierces the skin. PRX-T33® is applied topically and worked in by hand.
Will my skin peel?
No. That is the point of the formulation — the TCA works below the surface without the shedding a conventional peel causes.
Can I have it in summer?
Yes. It is not photosensitising, so it can be used through the summer months. Normal sun protection still applies.
Who should not have it?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to any of the components, or with damaged skin, fresh wounds, a skin infection or highly sensitive skin. We check this at the consultation.
Why five sessions?
Because that is what we advise for a course — 5 separate treatments approximately 1 to 2 weeks apart.
How long do I have to use them?
1 year from purchase, and sessions are booked as you go.

PRX-T33® is a bio-revitalisation treatment, not a microneedling one and not a conventional peel. TCA at 33% is a powerful peeling agent, and the low dose of hydrogen peroxide alongside it protects the tissue and enhances the affinity for growth factor receptors — so the TCA reaches the dermis and stimulates keratinocyte and fibroblast activity without the surface shedding a peel would normally cause.
