  • Tourmaline powder — micronised black tourmaline that absorbs body heat and re-emits it as Far Infrared Rays.
  • Escin — from horse chestnut, included here for puffiness and fluid balance around the abdomen.
  • Caffeine — added to this version for its part in the reducing action.
  • Sage and lemon peel oils with methyl nicotinate and vanillyl butyl ether — the warming complex that lifts microcirculation at the surface.

How to use

  1. Mix the mud well before applying.
  2. Spread it evenly over the tummy and waist with a light massage.
  3. Wrap with kitchen cling film — you can carry on with normal activity while it works.
  4. Leave for 30 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
  5. Finish with the matching F.I.R. cream-gel to prolong the effect.

Cautions: heat, tingling and temporary reddening are normal, and how long they last depends on your skin. Patch test before the first use. Do not use immediately before sun exposure — leave several hours, or treat in the evening. Wait around 24 hours after waxing. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor before use.

Can I use this on my legs too?
It is formulated specifically for the tummy and waist. For legs, thighs and buttocks, use the standard F.I.R. or Cold Formula mud.
How long do I leave it on?
Thirty minutes, under cling film, then rinse with lukewarm water.
How often should I treat?
Guam recommends two to three applications a week.
Is the tingling and redness a problem?
No. Guam describes it as the normal response to increased microcirculation, and how long it lasts varies from person to person. If it is too intense, rinse with cool water and stop.
Can I use it after waxing?
Wait around 24 hours.

This is the F.I.R. seaweed mud reformulated for the tummy and waist. The base is the same — Laminaria digitata, Fucus vesiculosus, Fuller's earth and black tourmaline that returns body heat as Far Infrared Rays — but sage and lemon essential oils, escin and caffeine are added for the areas around the middle.

The wrap is thirty minutes rather than forty-five. It is for anyone whose main concern is the abdomen, the waist or the soft area at the back of the hips, and it works alongside the leg formulas rather than replacing them.
